Thankful

She stood on the balcony of her new home, closed her eyes, and sucked in a deep breath. “Are you happy?” Her husband asked as she exhaled, opened her eyes, and took in the view.

“Very.” She answered as he set two mugs of coffee on the table and gently wrapped his arms around her waist. “Can we stay this way?”

“We can stay this way as long as you want.”

She sighed and leaned her head against her husband’s. “I am thankful.”

“For what?” He asked.

“You and the fact that we are here, in this wonderful happy place.”
