They gathered around the fire.
Sandra threw her collection of CDs into the fire, Laura, her books, and it on and on around in a circle. When it was Anna’s turn, she hesitated, she stared at the photographs in her hands, it was of her and her boyfriend, Fisher.
“Anna?” Their counselor, Charity, asked. “You know what you have to do.”
She nodded. She needed to be cleansed of everything that reminded her of the man who shattered her heart. She glanced around the circle, at Charity, and the fire. Sighed, she gently tossed the pictures into the fire.

Sometimes a symbolic act like that is great.. it’s like a pyre of your past.

That’s a good way to make sure you don’t decide to keep them after all and keep hanging on.

Dear Yinglan, Wonderful and sad story. I can understand that she was reluctant to burn the last of her memories. But,if they were holding her back from a cure – it needs to be done. Honestly, very well done! Nan đ

My friends and I did this when I was younger. There was even one of my friends that was reluctant to throw her contribution into the fire, she was still holding on the hope her love would come back. I thought you were writing about us. ī Nice story.

Really? So people do do this in real life? I didn’t know that.

You can’t hardly do that in this digital age. I wonder does it make it harder to move on?
